LA PREZIOSA Hits the Right Note in New York with “On Air”

Shine, Groove, and Great Emotions – LA PREZIOSA Unveils the “On Air” Collection at the Audio-Technica Studio in New York

New York, March 2025 – Amidst creative vibes and urban energy, South Tyrolean fine jewelry brand LA PREZIOSA celebrated the exclusive premiere of its new collection, On Air,” on March 27, 2025 – at a venue that embodies the spirit of music like no other: the legendary Audio-Technica recording studio in New York City.

Audio-Technica is globally renowned for its high-quality turntables, headphones, and microphones – and stands out as a symbol of exceptional sound and technical precision. Its microphones have been used by international stars such as Sting, Selena Gomez, Gwen Stefani, and Taylor Swift – as well as by prominent figures in politics and society, including George W. Bush and Pope Benedict XVI.

On this night, where sound artistry usually takes center stage, jewelry stole the show – in a stunning presentation that fused art, music, and design. The exclusive event welcomed a select audience: Grammy winners, actors, music influencers, journalists, models, and fashion designers all gathered to immerse themselves in the world of “On Air” by LA PREZIOSA.

The atmosphere was elevated by the dynamic beats of DJ Uncle Jesse, who filled the room with a finely curated mix of disco rhythms, setting the perfect vibe for the evening.

SushiDelic provided the culinary highlight of the night with exquisite Japanese finger food, elegantly served and adding a flavorful dimension to the experience.

Friends and longtime companions from South Tyrol also joined the celebration, giving the evening a deeply personal touch: Heinrich and Meggy Dorfer, Christoph Atzwanger with Irene Oberrauch Atzwanger, Laura Margesin, Elke Kapfinger with Alexander Hütter, and Markus Dorfmann, who now resides in New York.

Representing the family were Hannes Gamper, Manuela Prossliner Gamper, Maria Gamper, and Florian Oberhofer.

The showcased jewelry pieces and art objects were all created by sculptor Hannes Gamper, CEO of Tiroler Goldschmied and designer behind LA PREZIOSA. His works drew significant attention – captivating both art enthusiasts and members of the international fashion and music scenes alike.

A particularly striking highlight: Hannes Gamper created original artworks live in New York, crafted specifically for the event using vinyl records and LP covers. These powerful, emotionally charged sculptures translated the legacy of music into a new, visual language. Presented alongside the jewelry collection, the one-of-a-kind pieces formed a mesmerizing bridge between sound, material, and emotion.

The collection is a tribute to the golden age of disco – inspired by pulsing beats, iconic sounds, and the vibrant spirit of the ’80s and ’90s. The designs reflect elements of vinyl records, rhythmic light, and the electrifying atmosphere of legendary venues like Studio 54 – the iconic New York club that once stood at the creative heart of the music and fashion scene.

“With this collection, I want to relive my disco days — the scent, the music, the people. I want to feel that moment again, to feel like I’m floating,” says Hannes Gamper.

“On Air” represents more than just jewelry – it’s a collection of wearable art, crafted from 18-karat recycled gold, adorned with diamonds, and designed with a deep sensitivity to rhythm, movement, and emotion. The collection merges music and art into the form of fine jewelry, becoming a radiant expression of a universal message.

“Music is a universal language that connects people – and it’s precisely this connection I want to celebrate through the fusion of music and design in my collection,” Gamper adds.

Like all collections by LA PREZIOSA, “On Air” was created with a commitment to sustainability and fairness – handcrafted in the brand’s own workshop near Merano, where precision, passion, and artisanal expertise have been passed down for generations.

The collection’s video spot had its first moment in the spotlight on none other than Times Square, making for a spectacular debut. A bold statement for a jewelry concept that goes far beyond fashion – reinterpreting the spirit of an entire generation.
