Fashion Trends Spring/Summer 2017

As an exclusive for Welcome, Nadia Tschenett (High Fashion Consultant) will present current trends for spring/summer 2017 directly from the international catwalks.

THINK PINK
If there’s one colour you need on your radar next season it’s pink. Pink – particularly of the fuchsia variety – flooded the catwalk at shows such as Bottega Veneta, Sportmax, Topshop Unique and Kenzo. Whether you choose to layer lots of different hues over your separates, or colour block by wearing coats over statement dresses, you won’t go wrong as long as it’s pink, pink, pink.

POWER SHOULDERS
Suits with big shoulders, a wardrobe staple of the ’80s career woman, made a comeback this season. The trend first came on strong at the Jil Sander show in Milan, where Rodolfo Paglialunga added extra-large shoulder pads to almost every look. Also at Chloé, Max Mara, Ralph Lauren, Céline and Balenciaga, shoulders have taken on a modern proposition.

WALLFLOWERS
The spring/summer 2017 catwalks were heaving with floral wallpaper prints, with designers such as Prada, Miu Miu, Chloé and Salvatore Ferragamo adopting their repetitive charms. But how to wear floral wallpaper prints without becoming part of the furniture? Don’t overdo the accessorising, adhere to tried-and-tested colour combinations that work for you and keep the silhouette simple.

Thanks a lot to Nadia and the magazine Welcome for the good tips.
